Bummer. I cannot say I have put them through any hard use.
Lots of knives. Lots of rotation.
To be fair I also go through at least one or two torsion bars on my Kershaw leek every year. But they just mail you new ones when you ask. I might grab some springs off Amazon and see of they hold up better. Other than that it is hard to criticize it for $10.
This is 100% of 60 to $65 knife, not $100 ever on D2 models...
That appears to be true from what I see on CCC yet I still think this a great deal. You can not ignore that it is the red version. They are right now selling for near $100 on the Ebay market. I see no other merchants with this color and they may be the last of a production run. If these go out of production it will be a very valuable knife and bring maybe $200 to $300 dollars in the aftermarket.
I know what I am talking about as I have over many years managed to grab the less produced colors of many Kershaw models at cut rates on Amazon and a rare color adds tremendous value. In fact I have not seen many Kershaw deals that interest me this one greatly interests me and I am in. I would recommend to buy two and put one away and you will get a great return on your purchase.
Great knife for under 50. Kershaw over all these brands i've never heard of.
I like Kershaw but there are many brands you may not have heard of that make very nice knives. We are living in a golden age of knife manufacturing and I recommend to not limit yourself.

I haven't carried a spear point for EDC as they don't seem that useful. I find few uses for the tip geometry and the sharp curve and am afraid it will be hard to sharpen. Can anyone who has one give some feedback on the pros? I don't want to avoid it based on assumptions but wary to spend even $50 on a knife I won't use.
Almost bought it, but then realized it is not assisted opening Kershaw. Other than that - awesome steel, and great knife for an unbeatable price - you can only get 8cr13moV steel for that price and D@ is much more superior steel. It was very tempting even though I don't really need yet another knife to my rather large collection

I have had or do have just about every assisted open Kershaw makes and this knife outshines them all in function in my opinion. I want see moet like this from Kershaw and less assisted open. This is one of the easiest deploying and closing and buttery smooth Kershaws I have ever had.
Don't get me wrong I do not mind assisted open but it can be unnecessary point of failure. Also for some reason Kershaw puts it on smooth handled knives and I find it a danger when trying to close them one handed particular on smaller knives with humped back handle designs. When closing the steering spring tension will often have the knife go flying like when you try to squeeze a watermelon seed
I bought an Iridium and Bel Air together last year to compare and decide what to keep. I sent the Iridium back. They're not the same weight class at all but I would still save some extra funds and go Bel Air without even thinking about. It has been under $140 quite a few times the last year and it's easily my favorite EDC.If you don't want to spend that much, a $50 Iridium is pretty unbeatable. But if you want a no buyer's remorse EDC that will stay in your pocket most waking hours... Go Bel Air.
Edit: I completely take my thoughts on the Iridium back. I'm almost positive I received a clone with my past comparison which was completely inaccurate.
Because this deal was only $50 and it was from Amazon I decided to try it again... this is a hell of a blade for $50 and anyone else who jumped on the deal is going to be very pleased. Build quality is great, action is very smooth, steel should be easy to sharpen and hold an edge for a decent amount of time. Very pleased I gambled on another try.
Does someone mind posting links to the other knives references here?
I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff, but I like to keep knives in various vehicles (boats, cars, etc)..:including on my personal on occasion and would love to grab a few

Anything is tactical if you are brave enough
