Looks like the ankle shank is canvas, but it's $13.50. I'm sure they're cheapo, but they're not hideous. How bad could they be?

A good indicator would be the shipping weight. I bet these soles are full of air pockets.

Genuine leather and canvas (no synthetics) makes this an instant buy. Especially if you replace the inner sole with something nicer. 14 bucks !
