1- This bar which is a step below the 990 and offers 90% of the experience was never sold by Samsung as it is a BestBuy exclusive so if the 990 physical dimensions are too much, this is the best second option.
2- EPP/ EDU pricing is not for everyone and for the past few months, the 990d EPP was around $830 so the 930 for $700 non EPP price is really good.

Currently running my 930C with my Sony OLED TV and it's amazing. I dumped my Onkyo receiver + Klipsch 5.1 surrounds and have never regretted it. The 930 is an upgrade in every way over my old setup, plus it gets the wifey seal of approval with the wireless speakers (they need a power outlet tho). My old setup ran wires under a rug across the floor to hook up the rears.
