1- This bar which is a step below the 990 and offers 90% of the experience was never sold by Samsung as it is a BestBuy exclusive so if the 990 physical dimensions are too much, this is the best second option.
2- EPP/ EDU pricing is not for everyone and for the past few months, the 990d EPP was around $830 so the 930 for $700 non EPP price is really good.

Yeah. Coming over from the 990D thread and contemplating between the two. From rting review on it, these two models don't seem too far different from each other for a $200 price difference

The 990d is $799 on EPP currently at least the veteran discount.
