Not a bad deal, but this is the DWS779 that you can sometimes get for the same exact price with a stand. Example from Lowes earlier this year:

This is a pretty typical price at this point. Also worth noting that the model has changed over time and lost some features/quality.

In fairness this has gained some features as it's lost some (lost an extra slide lock, some of the hard detents on the bevel iirc etc but gained handles etc). But this price unless things have changed drastically isn't a deal without a free stand as others mentioned.

This is the normal "fake sale" price. This saw isn't worth it. The 780 has the light that shows you exactly where the blade lines up with the cut. That's the one you want.

I hope people always take into consideration that a posted deal is not always a deal. This has been the same deal since 68 and doesn't include the stand. If you don't need it, hold off until the deal with the stand comes around again.
