Looks like it is item-specific. I am not a fan of dark chocolate so I tried it on the milk chocolate Kisses and it did not work.

In case anyone was wondering if other candies qualified.

Apparently these are only 35% cocoa. To derive antioxidant value you want 80-90%. I buy Lindt 85%

Decades ago Hersheys kisses were much better, though not great. Hurts my stomach. in my opinion.. stick with better chocolate in smaller amounts. Dark chocolate has the same beneficial polyphenols as red wine.

This isn't really high in cocoa. Maybe 40% at most. It's not like eating 80% cocoa dark chocolate. Although I only like the really high cocoa bitter stuff.
