This is their first attempt at a griddle. It has since been replaced by the Weber Slate. I haven't personally used it, but a few YouTube reviewers weren't impressed.. I'm a Weber guy ( I have 6 of the various cookers right now) and would rather look elsewhere than this one.

This one is very cheaply made, go for the 2nd gen model instead - the Slate if you want a Weber griddle.

This is solid build quality and significantly better build quality than Blackstone. I have owned the 36" Blackstone Carnivore and the 36" Weber. There is no comparison, Weber wins my a mile. The Slate is a step up and also costs more.

Weber technically owns Blackstone, so you should be good.

Yes, they merged back in May. The agreement was initiated in December 2024.

I went with the 4 burner version of this a couple months ago and am very happy so far. We use it at least three times a week for all sorts of meals.

Man, anyone looking at this should absolutely not get it. You're paying for the weber name, nothing else. This is way to expensive for this size and quality. If you want to get started, spend $200 on this one: https://www.samsclub.com/p/member...product_1. Bigger, cheaper, better build quality, sam's return policy, and comes with a cover. While you might like the weber, it's just too expensive for what it is.

It's our first griddle, so I can't compare it to anything else. However, we use it all the time and my husband (which is who I bought it for) loves it. It's outside on a covered patio and the prices is close to half of what I paid when it first came out. We cover it after using it and so far so good.

Aside from camping trips, I've never had the desire to cook breakfast outside with lugging all the food, plates, glasses, spices, syrup, etc. And living in Michigan with 5 months of winter and another 3 months of cool and/or wet months, can't see myself even remotely abandoning my covenient, sub-$100 electric griddle used inside to grill breakfast outside.

And if I did want to cook outside, I've got outlets on the deck to use my electric griddle.
