I upgraded to this from an M1 MBP with the aim to visualize W11 using Fusion. The whole thing absolutely flies and was worth it.

That's with 16GB RAM, at least here in NJ. The 24GB RAM is $969.

There's another post here on SD for the base model 16GB/256GB @ $449 and can be price-matched at BB.

An upcharge of $400 for an additional 8GB RAM and a 256GB larger SSD doesn't feel slick. But if you need the extra RAM then this is the only option as I've read the RAM is integrated directly into the Apple M4 chip and soldered to the logic board.

I got my first Mac in 1984. The 512K Fat Mac. Over the years, I've noticed that the more money Apple got, the more greedy they became. Typical for a company run by a liberal. Clearly, they don't want you to have any control to upgrade your equipment on your own.

I have base version of M1, it's far superior than intel N150
