This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

I was thinking about picking it up on my active $15 line.Kinda want to wait and see how the Edge 2025 gets priced, the 3x zoom is what I'm after

The Edge 2025 is a mid level phone not a flagship it only comes with 256gb and uses a MediaTek processor. Even two years later it can't match the Edge+ 2023. Especially not at this price. The best phones are flagships at bargain prices.

Fixed it, copied it from last year. Yes it's $120 all in. You should be able to unlock it with one of the services and use with any carrier but that is not guaranteed. Once people get the phone they can report if its working right now or not. There were issues last year some phones IMEI weren't on the list yet. The one I bought was and I was able to unlock right away.

Can we use this device as just a media player/emulator w/o sim? Or would it be stuck on Activation screen? It would be better than many "Retroids" used for emulation

Yes, you can use it without a plan. You can for sure activate it for the first month either way with the month of service you have and then just cancel the auto renew.

Locked for one year...but for this price amazing music player or gaming device. Will use mine for vlogs probably.

The phone will be EOL soon, only downside. By the time it unlocks next year it'll be 3 years old, crazy

I paid Dr Unlock $15 last year. Price went up from when I used to unlock a 2022 Edge+ from Boost as well. That was 3.99
