Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Few more details:
Download/install Smart Assitant.
Download/extract lolinet RETUS A15.

Run Smart Assitant, select Rescue
It'll want to identify your device. Follow instructions to do so.
It'll find boost model and recommend a firmware to rescue. Let it download and extract it.
Abort the rescue.
My PC location was ProgramData/RSA/Download/Romfiles. The extracted dish rom folder is in there. You're after the folder name only.
Put the lolinet A15 extracted folder in same Romfiles directory and rename it to the dish rom folder (You'll have to move the dish folder elsewhere or rename it to avoid dupe folder names).
Now that the A15 lolinet folder is same name as the Dish A14 folder, return to Smart Assistant and repeat rescue.
This time it won't try to download since the folder already exists. Proceed with rescue.
I let it wipe data since I don't have anything I cared about on it.

It's probably doing standard adb commands really and doesn't care what you're flashing.

I'm still carrier unlocked. Phone connected to 5G boost just fine during A15 setup. Yes I'm still on DISH software channel.
Do we have any confirmation on whether or not this kills OTA updates?

It's one of the best upper midrange phones from 2023, with performance that's fast and one of longest lasting android devices. It has massive storage, which is generally impossible to get with this price/performance ratio. No iphone or other android phone you point out has 512gb and mmwave 5g, at this cost. I'll be waiting for you to post one.
Yes it is.. but we have options from refurbished Samsung selling from $149.. how much this edge cost overall and stop service after one month? How much incase of multiple phone

I installed LineageOS 22 on mine, not using root though. For me this is a phone to play around with modding. No Samsung phone out can be rooted.

It's 120...refund the plan and becomes $60. None of those Samsung phones even have 512gb at the same price. That's a big issue, 128 is a joke for me. Not even half my music will eat it up.

you can do that? how do you refund the plan?

512GB is fantastic spec (although I will not use it) 8GB is the only downfall but should be fine. I kind of want to replace my One Plus 12R but in the end I rather have my 16GB of RAM.

All in it will be about 140 for me, 125 after fees and 15 for unlock. A little pricy but I guess still okay for what youre getting here I cant think of a similar available option.

So Desi your method, do you cancel the Boost plan, then wait until ~10 days left and order a new one? Or do you NOT cancel the Boost plan until you have ordered additional? does canceling the plan mess up the ability to order 2nd phone?

It would suck if you messed up, waited a little too long and got charged another $60 for another month by accident.

also. the below is just a sample. this idea was mostly figured out by jagg. NOT ME.

here is MY take on what is best. just my opinion, do it on your own risk.

-- July 1 (hypothetical date) assuming u r new boost customer . order phone and plan. total will be ~$120. do not cancel plan. let it die on its own. best to use virtual credit card. also make sure auto payment is off.

--July 5. Receive phone and activate. make a call or 2. send a text or 2.

--Now u r current customer. u can add lines and the plan will be prorated depending on when u get the next phone. So one option is to wait until ~3rd week . that way u have 1 week to get phone activate. and the prorated price will be close to lowest

--u can order up to 9 ( i think i stopped adding phones to my test cart at that point).

--July 20. for me, at the time, i ordered 2 more phones. price was ~ 75 for each (final) i posted receipt earlier.

--July 28. cancel virtual credit card. also make sure auto payment is off.

--as far as as cancelling the plan and getting $60 money back. i tried. i was rejected. i didnt pursue any further.

i would make sure u activate all phones. as you are agreeing to activate them when u click the T&C. or else they can charge full price. make a call or 2. send a text or 2. etc

device is very nice and works for me.
im not gamer etc.

the 8gb memory and software support from moto/boost are the only neg i see.
however, if updates are provided 2 years, that is good enuff for me.
will buy a s25 for $120 in 2 years ...lol

the 512 is nice, but i dont see myself using even 100
camera is ok. as well

again, all factoring the price

I activated the second phone it charges full $40+tax for plan even though it only charged me $10 prorated when ordering and only gave me 1 week of service left the billing is disaster with this company.

just noticed this.
a 12r is exactly the phone i replaced.
was my daily driver.
untili got bored of it

i sold the 12r for ~330 (i think it was) and got this instead

believe me, if u r a "average" user , u will not notice any difference.

again depends on how/what u use phone for.

for me. not much difference, other than the price between 12r and this

i guess not it just adds prorated amount to the account balance then charges full price for plan when try to activate then pulls rest money from the card on file.

Guess last lines i won't activate and cancel the virtual card.

that makes no sense.
what if the card is already cancelled?

im gonna cancel card, and then try to activate.

if they wont let me activate because of no card on file , then that is on them,

although i would have liked to be compliant with their T & C
