No, you DO NOT need the app.
Ignore the first few pages of misinformation. But the terms do say by linking Earnify to your Amazon account they'll have access to all the information on your Amazon account. If you go in and delete the permission to share your account information, they'll still have the information that was shared previously.

The linked page is titled:

So I ctrl+F searched for "fuel" and no results on that page.
The mentioned site "amazon.com/fuelsavings" talks only about their June deal.
Can you link to the deal info another way?
I also conducted a Google search, but it yielded no results.
