I mean the description of fair says it "may be missing parts and accessories". Many people talk about them missing power cords on fair in these YMMV best buy threads.
Who said hey didn't get a power cord with this deal? Went back through this thread and never found the comments you are mentioning in this thread.

Ive been buying fair condition items from Best Buy for over a decade and I was told by their manager when I started it would maybe missing accessories but would always include REQUIRED accessories to make it function.

You can sell a laptop that won't turn on as functional without the 200w power brick to make it turn on? Not what I was told those many years ago by the nice employees I'd spoken with.

Ended up going up there myself and stuck around until they found the power cord that they had forgotten to include. I know it's confusing since some companies like apple don't include usb chargers, but I confirmed in the future if Fair meant it included required cords and was told 'it should be included if it's required, and if not they'd accept a return."

So, if you got a laptop and it didn't have the power cord, maybe drive up to your best buy it came from and see if they have it.

After it's all said and done, I love this laptop. Feels quality, runs quiet and the screen looks great. Wish it were 144hz refresh and I wish it had 16gb soldered to the board instead of 8gb. Other than that, it's perfect. And for the price + hassle time, it feels worth it.

Seriously, Best Buy should make it possible for their call center to reach out to a local manager. It probably wouldn't come up that much, but for some little stuff like this, it'd have really improved the service experience. I'm happy with the outcome, but I can't help but appreciate my Microcenter even more now.

I've been monitoring these open box deals from Best Buy. I purchased this deal but the Ultra 7 version ($425) and at least 2 ppl did post that their fair conditioned unit didnt come with a power supply. My excellent one looked almost new with all accessories. I replaced the ram stick with a 32GB and running smooth at 40GB.

Well, good to know. I am probably going to stick with Microcenter from now on, unless the deal is just stupid good at Bestbuy or something.

Super pleased Bestbuy found the power supply, since it looks hard to source online. Seems the -H this takes is not the same as the -D version everyone is selling online according to a frustrated redditor.

Glad it all worked out, and I'd urge people who might have this deal in their area to make sure you get the power brick if you can.

Which stick of ram did you go with, if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks for providing the legwork and the back up, much appreciated. That was the thread I was thinking of.

Last week I have ordered this for pickup and other Lenovo laptop for shipping both in excellent condition. Lenovo laptop they just kept the bare laptop in the shipping box wrapping in a transparent paper. no charger nothing. I was able to turn on the laptop but it is hanging while setting up. Returned it today.
This laptop I picked up from the store and is like new never used. Got in OEM box with factory seal still on. So it is hit or miss with open box items at BB

Yea, it appears to be. I am super stoked with the deal I got. 599 + tax and I did a battery check via the command line in Windows, using " powercfg /batteryreport " and it shows only a few cycles and 100% capacity. I cleaned some sticker residue off the bottom of the laptop and now everything seems perfect.

Might get the urge to add more ram some time.

I think it's worth it, if you get the 200w power supply that goes with it.

Picked up one. The manufacturer warranty has expired. Not sure whether it is still a good deal.
