Crazy efficient insulation. If you fill it with hot coffee in the AM it will be almost equally hot in the PM. I own two and they're great
12 ounces? What is this. A water bottle for ANTS?
They are an Asian company mostly catering to Asian needs. Japanese don't carry around 40 oz buckets to drink out of like Americans do.

In general they're a step up in quality vs other bottle brands, and their larger flip top bottles are more popular because they're easy to secure and drink one handed, which is useful for someone driving.

These are just screw tops, so not as useful, but look to be more compact and keep the same build quality.

I have the flip tops, and am super interested in this (because I'm a fan of the brand) but

* The stainless liner, with coffee, I can taste the stainless steel when drinking from it. It could just be the mug itself / smelling it, maybe if poured out into another vessel it wouldn't have that vibe, but for the flip tops, that's the whole point

* the ceramic lined flip top are worth whatever price they're asking; insulates INCREDIBLY well, as someone said, hot in the morning, hot in the evening. No stainless artifacts

* I can't find a practical usage for something like this. I expect that it is the perfect device to fill up a container with hot coffee in the morning, and then at 7PM if you want some hot coffee, bam, there it is. But without the flip top to drink directly from, ... I just don't get it.

And it's a shame because this is CHEAP! Someone tell me a practical usage for this so I buy them. Big Grin

So does the top have to be screwed off each time you drink from it? I can't see to find of video of this model in use.

The size is really for people who can't lug around a 42 oz Stanley cup. Some people can just refill where they go

FYI - these are Teflon lined interiors. I personally prefer the micopolished stainless lining option.

Their silicone gaskets pick up odors very easily. My wife is sensitive to it. Put the gaskets in a low oven - like 275 - for an hour or so. That really might be longer than you need...I just fire up the toaster oven and get back to it at some unknown time. The smells will be gone. The gaskets can withstand this temp no problem.

This is really optimized for a water bottle, or situations where you are putting the liquid into another container to consume. I suppose you could put hot soup in it, as well.

While ants do require hydration, they drink about 7 microliters a day, far less than one drop of water... although ants are so strong, I bet one ant could carry a water bottle for all his friends.
