Out of stock for shipping, seems to be retail price...what am I missing that's slick about this?

This shows in stock for shipping and pick up for me. Not sure why it's marked expired.

I believe this is a Walmart brand. Personally I would want one from a more established brand in the storage medium industry like Samsung, Sandisk, Lexar, or even PNY. I wouldn't get this but that's just me.

Be careful with this brand. They are rebranded drives that failed their QA/QC.
You can get lucky and get one that simply didn't pass a speed test, but you can also get one that has anything from sector to heat issues.

Do you have a source on that?

I know someone that works for a well known brand that does this to their failed and poorly binned products.
A few companies actually take advantage of stuff like this. Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy just to name a few.
Amazon and Best Buy are not much better, but at least they wanted to know what was passed, and would not take items that failed multiple tests. Walmart did not care as long as it was cheap.
