Thank you for this info.
You don't judge a bulb based on the amount of watts it uses.
"Lumens represent the amount of light emitted from the bulb. A 100-watt incandescent bulb emits approximately 1500 lumens, while a 60-watt incandescent emits about 850 lumens."

They say 60w equivalent and 800 lumens, which are both practical. But Sylvania and GE 8w bulbs are 60w equivalent and both rated at less lumens, so these probably either use more power or put out less light than stated.

Don't thank him for false info. 7-8w is the LED equivalent to a 60w incandescent bulb. Apparently this guy hasn't bought a light bulb in the past decade.

I wonder if these are like the pieces of crud that Ollie's sell. Great for a few months, then they start flickering like they're not screwed in completely. No brand name, just a brown box that says 12pcs LED and Made in China. I think they were $15.

Yeah, hope they don't flicker out like my other "vintage LED" lamps have done over the past five years. Makes the place look like a Disco dance floor.
