Wandered into a Home Depot and saw this with a clearance sticker of $487 (refer to pic) which is priced lower than online, but going to checkout it rang up $325.04 before sales tax (refer to receipt pic)
Link is for reference and item details only, reduced price was in-store only, likely will vary location by location so a definite YMMV
The Rheem Gladiator 40 Gal. electric water heater provides an ample supply of hot water for households with 2 to 4 people. Thanks for sharing, please pay attention to its review though, seems multiple incidents of burned wires and board
Yes, I have seen different companies try to make one as far back as 25 years. Those with electronic controls.
So far all of them suck. The electronics just cant hold up to the heat generated all the time.
Even the ones that tried to put the circuit board on top of the tank in a separate box.
Just not worth the problems. even with free parts.
HD has a bunch of water heater clearance including a $900 gas Rheem for 180 and a 1900 dollar heat pump one for like 400. The gas sold in my state almost immediately and the electric only lasted a day more. Its worth your time too check online in your area if you are searching.
