I know this may seem like A LOT to spend on a Multi-Port adapter - but this one is the genuine Dell model and has a lot of good features. The main reasons I like this one are:
Compact and durable - like a hockey puck (really nice how the cable gets retracted into the housing)
Excellent selection of ports - including VGA, Displayport, HDMI and RJ45 ethernet. If you need to connect to an older "projector" to display a presentation - one of the ports will work for sure. I really like having Displayport as you typically just find HDMI connections on these (by my business monitor only has DisplayPort).
It's made by Dell - so certainly should work with a Dell laptop (generic multi-port adapters I've tried have been hit & miss).
That's my 2-cents. Thumbs UP as it's the lowest price I've seen in a while for a brand new boxed unit.

Have a version of this one. While extremely versatile and outlandishly compact (form factor is a 10/10!), in my experience it really struggled to output 4K without frequent stutter. Or, if USB device plugged in simultaneously when display going to 1440p signal, also performance issues.

Note: 3 different monitor port types, but can only power 1 monitor (not 2 or 3)

Yep, I have it at work. I work with a laptop and frequently have to unplug, replug, unplug, replug to get the screen attached to this to work. The other screen has to plug directly into my laptop via HDMI.

I'm pretty sure the IT portal for work only charges us like $50 for these and everything in there is overpriced.

We have these at work...I didn't know they were expensive. They gave us this instead of stationary docks. It works but you can kiss good bye any form of cable management.
