For anyone looking/wondering though, these are great reels for calico bass, yellowtail, bonito and halibut fishing here in SoCal. If you are interested in tuna though, I'd recommend stepping up to the heavier duty stuff (Okuma Makairas, Shimano Talicas, etc).
I havent fished these enough to run into such issues 🤣
