I traded a 1phone 14 for $1000 trading credit towards s25 Ultra. My s1 ,000 credits are being applied as $41
monthly credits for the next 24 months. My ultra came with an active esim which i transferred to an extra phone I had so there's no active Sim in my ultra currently and I made sure I'm still getting my $41 month discount for ultra after moving esim.
I assume this phone is locked to Xfinity mobile for 2 years and I can't sell it on Marketplace because if someone added this Ultra to their Xfinity Mobile account that would
cancel my monthly credits. But what about if I trade it
to Samsung in July for the fold 7? Would i forfeit mv remaining credits if I did this?

I am following this for new posts, updates. Hopefully we will hear from someone who has had experience with this arbitrage.

This is a great question. So the eSIM you were using on the Samsung account is still active and on the same account, just on a different phone.

How many monthly cycles of $41 credits since you did this have you received? If one, it might still stop. I would think if 3 or more, you would be okay either selling as locked, or trading the Samsung, but don't use my logic as a defense if they came at you later and billed you for the phone. I agree that it will stay locked to their service if sold. The lock period may or may not reset.

Their main goal is to keep that account active, and they may still credit you. They want the monthly payments for service in exchange for the monthly subsidy. So, presuming that eSim stays active on any phone on their account, I don't think they would stop since they have not already.

These shenanigans seem to be a clever plan. Muahahahaha!

Thanks for replying I missed your post. Very nervous to risk the 1000 trading credit for sure. I've received three or four of the $41 monthly credits to date. Perhaps it will depend on what Samsung does with the ultra if I end up trading it to Samsung that will determine if I lose my credits or not. Do we know what Samsung does with phones they accept for trades that are locked?
