Yeah people just don't read anymore.
I think the best deal is P1S combo at $699 and A1C at $479.
From my experience with many printers, Bedslingers are proven to be reliable...but enclosed printers are so nice with it being able to stack the ams on top.

So many folks buying the Bambu. This thread and other ones for their sales seem to be popular. But I'm genuinely wondering as to why.
I know Bambu is an established company, but I've been researching the Anycubic Kobra S1 combo based on comments on this thread. From almost all Youtube videos I saw, the Anycubic is better cause it has extra flow calibration, has spaghetti detection, a better camera, is quieter and has a color screen. Most importantly it has a drying AMS, which is another $100 upgrade for the Bambu (granted if you do upgrade, you probably get a better AMS with AMS2 than what comes with Anycubic Kobra S1).

From what I can tell, you can get the anycubic for $430 with 5kg filament (if you follow the earlier comments on this thread), which is ~$870 for a similarly spec'ed Bambu (i.e. P1S with AMS2 upgrade and 5kg filament added). Add to that the terrible customer service reports on BBB for Bambu.

At some point the price difference just cannot be ignored. It's literally less than half the price, for what looks to be essentially similar products. After viewing a dozen youtube videos, there doesn't seem to be a discernable difference in print quality, if any -- definitely not $440 worth!.

I have a Microcenter locally. I get that I can return the P1S easily, while if I buy the Anycubic from AliEx, returns may not be as hassle free (though this seems be be sold from the company's official store). But say returns weren't that easy on AliEx, at that point, I would rather just deal with the company's customer service, which by all accounts is excellent in the case of Anycubic. Surely being able to return easily can't be worth that much.

So, what's the catch? Why is everyone tripping over themselves to get the Bambu? I'm genuinely wondering. I want to pull the trigger on the Anycubic but not sure if I'm missing something.
I have both P1S and S1. Like you had said, S1 is better than P1S in terms of features and pricing. Same print quality and ease of use, including remote mobile app print.

I recently bought a P1S as I wanted to get into the 3rd party accessories like the Panda touch, High flow hotend, metal gear for the extruder, etc. but it is not worth the extra $ and spending more on these expensive accessories. Also not happy about the block of many 3rd party app and accessories including panda touch screen.

Color touch screens are nice on the A1 and A1 mini, I have both and a P1S with AMS, my P1S is my go to printer for most projects. I rarely do multiple color printing, but having 4 spools already mounted is great, either for automatic switch over to new spool when filament runs out, or I my case, just so easy to print items from 4 different already mounted filaments., I see people talking about Panda Touch screens, etc, on P1S, I really have no reason to use the touch screen on my P1s other than to maybe quickly kill a job that may have gone awry, I can do everything from the Bambu Studio slicer! The touch screens on the A1 and A1 mini? I primarily use them for loading and unloading filament as I don't have an AMS Lite on either of them. Many folks have said this, Bambu Lab printers "just work", and that is what I want. I don't want to spend time tweaking and upgrading my printers, went through that with early Ender 3 clones, when I got my first Bambu Lab printer, it was a whole new ballgame, I never looked back! I have an Ender 3 S1 Pro in perfect condition that is sitting in a storage room, I paid $480 for it new and it still works as well as it did on day 1, but that is the issue! It is so slow, no automatic flow calibration, etc. Get a Bambu Lab printer and you will be happy!

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, same error (tried the space, backspace, manually typing, etc). The printer said "Preorder Now", but I went ahead and added it to cart and attempted to check out.

Same issue. One thing I noticed is when I'm logged out, the printer shows $553.87, but when I log in, it shows $538.07. Wonder if it's applying a discount for some reason, and it is attempting to double-stack and giving a very poor error message? The Ali site is definitely a bit on the clunky side.

I've almost pulled a trigger on s1. However, after reading and watching videos for 2 days, I think it's better for me to get p1s. Here is what I found:
1) The s1 heads internal components are very cheaply made.
2) ACE tends to fail after 2-3 months.
3) The majority of youtube videos with s1 were sponsored.
Like somebody said, it's better to have a printer that doesn't fail, and lots of people is pointing at Bambu Lab reliability.

When I am able apply the coupon, it shows as $554. I think yesterday, the price was $548.
When you go to the aliexpress's homepage, it clearly shows $120 off $600 being promoted.
Maybe clear cache, or even use vpn under diff city?

1. I agree, P1S has a better build quality on the print head including the hotend. The frame and the coreXY seems identical though. But their printhead both uses plastic extruder gears and they both clog.
2. I have 4 ACE units and 3 have been running solid for months(over 1000hrs on each). 1 ACE unit had a sensor issue with faulty retraction. This happened on my 1st ACE unit as I was just force pulling on the filament, not knowing how this ACE unit worked.
When I contacted the support, they promptly sent a new motor, sensor, gears, rail and belts. All I needed was the gear and maybe the sensor. I kept the motor, rail and extra 3 gears for any out of warranty replacement
3. Most printers including Bambulabs are sponsored.

I was about to buy another P1S AMS2 Pro (yeah, i m rich) with this deal, but non-functional panda screen is a no go. Just trying to find a space in my closet for H2D

Sir, you are convincing me to change my mind again and go with s1. I need to think about it more. I'm not rich. Price after discount for s1 comes roughly to 450$ which is way cheaper than p1s. I am just worried about reliability.

I just barely signed up as a new user, so wondering if this is applying a new user welcome price or something that's knocking an extra percentage off and maybe preventing the SSS120 coupon? Clearing cache didn't make a difference, unfortunately. I very much appreciate you going above and beyond. We'll see if we can get it to work.

If this is your 1st printer, go with anycubic, as I GUARANTEE you that you will fk up the printer and ace in some way that you will rely on their support team for the replacement. Not knowing how to unclog, killing the hotends, not knowing how to clear filaments on these extruder gears, wrong settings on different filaments causing more clogs, forgetting to calibrate after hotend change, etc.
Learn with the unit that you can afford and be replaced easily with their support.

Bambulab's finish is really nice and it has a bigger comminity with more mods available, yet you will see a lot of people hating bambu because of some clogs and issues that are common among all the printers.
Whether it is elegoo cc, FF ad5m, s1, kobra 3, bambu, they all print well and they are clones of each other. I think you'd feel less stressed when you start messing up and tinkering a lower priced unit and move up to higher end model as you gain more exp printing

Maybe read up on people's experiences on Reddit etc.. Even if Bambu's reliability is better, their customer service is clearly lacking; as can be seem from the BBB 'F' rating. Anycubic does seem to have better customer support; but it's only anecdotal evidence, so not sure how pertinent that is. Of course, I agree not having to contact any support by way of a higher reliability product is the best option. But at double the price, you have to keep things in perspective.
The other big question is how you intend to use the device. From what I understand, the P1S is better you are planning to buy extra add-ons or branch out into projects that would need more tinkering. If that's the case probably the Bambu would be a better buy despite the cost difference. If not, the Kobra S1 seems to be a better 'appliance' type machine (many reviews happened to mention that).

Personally, I almost bought the Kobra S1, but then I held back wondering whether I ought to spend even that much. I know the price is cheap for what it is, but it's not like I have any real use for a 3D printer. The most I'll do with it is print figurines or toys for kids which they'll discard in minutes and it'll just create more plastic junk in the house. Any utility item I can possibly print can be easily bought for cheap. Very sure I won't be printing anything of that high utility in the printer's lifetime. So, it'll probably take up space in the house and not be used after a month. Plus, I'll be explaining to my wife why I spent so much money on something that I can't even call a hobby Smilie. I'll probably sleep on it for a day or so, and then see.

I'm getting ~$1000 for the P1S/AMS 2 combo after $165 shipping to HI. Still worth it or should I get the normal AMS combo from Best buy with free shipping for $730?

Yes, under Promo Code, manually type "SSS120"

Thanks again. No dice. Must be my account or maybe the coupon is maxed for today. Will try again tomorrow.

Edit: Finally got the coupon to work. I have no idea what finally made it function. I think there are multiple Anycubic stores on Ali and maybe I had the wrong one. The one that worked was "ANYCUBIC Official Store".
I find that if I go to the one that says PREORDER and select "add 4kg PLA". Upon checkout, the coupon bring the price down to $450.

This is the only one eligible for the $120 off coupon for some reason.
