Just picked one up at my local warehouse. They had one on display too with the $499.97 clearance tag. The original price that their system shows is $899.99, which was already a decent price as far as the LG grams go.

For comparison, the MSRP on the similar configuration but with 32GB of RAM was $1,700+ (admittedly unrealistic). Best Buy was clearancing this 32GB RAM configuration for $1440, and a few Microcenter stores which still have them are selling them for $1000.

Oos for me, grab it if you're able. For $500, this is a very solid productivity machine. Love my 17" Gram.

Call the store first - some are showing they have it in stock but its a display or returned model that they cannot resell

Is there a significant jump between 155h/255h? Looks like single core performance is pretty similar between the 155h/1260p on benchmarks. But jumps to the 255h.
Probably a pass. Maybe 32gb would make it more tempting. 1tb SSD is kinda valueless in comparison.

Did you just go straight to the store, or did you check if they had it in stock through the app first?
I called the nearest store, gave them the item number and was told that they still had a handful in stock. I grabbed my keys and my wallet and ran out.

I don't think I'd want to save a $50 for an item that may have been on for 9 months and touched by hundreds of people. If it were the last item in stock, I would've gone for it at the additional discount. But I am happy to pay the extra $50 for a brand new one.

By the way, the manufacturing date on mine is September 2024.

if its not oled. no thank you
OLED? The idea of this LG line is light with long battery life. Not OLED. Is Apple using OLED? OLED is so impractical.

Have u used a oled laptop? I own the 16" asus zephrus gaming laptop with rtx 4070 and oled screen and the brightness is like 500 nits in hdr mode. Not just that but oled color production has to be experienced in person instead of watching youtube etc.

It's my 1st oled laptop and I will never ever go back to a non OLED screen again. I played Elden Ring in hdr mode and saw colors that I never experienced during my 1st play run on a older non oled monitor.

My desktop rig is also paid with a LG 39" OLED monitor.

But to say OLED is impractical on a laptop is far from true.

"oled color reproduction has to be experienced in person instead of watching youtube etc." - I mean, pretty much every iphone or samsung phone people buy in the US these days has an oled screen. It's not like this is something people haven't seen before. Yeah, oled looks nice, but majority of people won't mind having an ips panel on a laptop. Not a deal breaker.

Awesome deal OP. I checked inventories of 10 Costcos warehouses in the app, and only one (like 40 min away) has it still in stock. So YMMV but it seems like this deal still available for some.

I don't need a laptop right now, but if I did, I'd probably strongly consider this. Especially with 90 day returns.

Anyone know if you can upgrade the memory? Or know the model number so I can look it up.

I found a Costco that has it in stock, but the memory is not upgradeable. 16G is probably enough for my usage model. but would like the flexibity to upgrade it later.
