Reading some of the comments, I get a sense that many don't know the best way to use a waist fan. I actually didn't either and used to assume that this was a silly device. But, once I learned the best way to use this, I like it a lot. I have one, and I bought another for my friend (a different model). What you want to do is, you clip it to your belt "under your shirt" and clip your shirt's skirt on the outer clip, which creates a dorm/balloon in a sense, then the fan creates a really nice breeze circulating inside your shirt, keeping your body cool. It feels quite nice actually.

I bought one of these similar fans and honestly it doesn't do much on the highest setting and I personally don't think it's worth the hassle of carrying this on your belt since it's a bit heavy and cumbersome.

You should try switching to propane, you'll be able to taste the meat and not the heat. Trust me, I sell propane and propane accessories.
