I don't know what it is, but I have to really go out of my way to find an opportunity to use this shape of spatula. We wear out our "spoon-shaped" ones out of an assortment, and then we have these left over.

These arent for cooking they are for baking. They are shaped this way to scrape the bowl and get everything out.
Or if you need to get under and lift out something like a brownie/cake/ bread.
