Hard to argue with that price. Just be aware that 24% of reviews are 3-stars or less with 9% being 1-Star reviews. They seem to focus around quality/durability issues. After owning non-folding versions of these neck fans and then getting a folding model, it became far more feasible to take with me places as it is much easier to store on the go.

Based on a Vacuum Wars YouTube comparison video, I settled on this ChillGo model: https://a.co/d/jlcUSkB

It scored very high in those reviews. The biggest downside to that model is that it doesn't have the percentage reading so you are never really sure what the battery life is. That is a big perk of other models but the adjustable sides, ability to fold, and optional fans for the back of the neck make it worthwhile.

Bought the ChillGo model from that review. I'm pretty confident it's the best neck fan out there because of how thorough the review was and because of that, I've written off neck fans as a comfortable way to stay cool. Not only are they really loud and right up next to your ears but it presses against your sweaty hot skin and is quite uncomfortable. At least in my opinion this is the case. I keep trying it but every time I come in from outside I can't wait to take it off.

I bought something similar to these for when I'm at work and it's 90* or hotter, and all it does when I use it is feel like I'm blowing a hair dryer on my neck. I'm sure these would work if it's not as hot, but then at that point they're not really needed

On the other hand, I'm annoyed by electronics that always have the power/speed display on, wasting electricity. I mean, who needs to know the power level or speed when this is around the neck? It can't be that hard to make it turn on for a few seconds when you press any button then go dark again. Yet all my portable fans have an always-on display.

Yeah, it doesn't help that it's sucking in air that's been warmed by your body

These devices are interesting. They blow lots of air unless it's really hot. Then you can't even tell you have them on.
That's true of every type of battery fan I've tried, and the effect is really weird. I just experienced it an hour ago, as I went to vote in feels-like 95°F temps. It's much more pronounced outside, probably because the natural air current is carrying the air output sideways. At home, my fan is powerful enough on low. Outside, I barely felt it on the highest level.

This or the Jisulife neck fan from Costco?
https://www.costco.com/jisulife-n...28535.html
Jisulife ranked #3 by Project Farm's very comprehensive review. This FrSara ranked #6. Every review I've seen seems to like the ChillGo, which ranked #2. The #1 Torras was in another league pricewise, retailing for $280.

I personally prefer the below turbo fans, because I need air blown on my face and forehead, not just my neck. These are much more flexible because they can be held to direct the air wherever you want and they can be worn on a strap around the neck. And they make a great desk fan. But my favorite use is a waist fan, even though it's not advertised as such. Just stick it in your belt or waistband. I didn't believe that it would work but it blows straight to the face, forehead and the neck area under the chin. It's plenty powerful even on low.

I bought this on sale for $10 last month. It even has a Peltier cooling disk for an air conditioning effect (that sorta works if you hold it very close to your face).

Care to explain the logic here? Exploding devices?
It wasn't logic, it was a joke. They were referring to the explosives Israel implanted in pagers and walkie talkies used by Hezzbollah. Thousands of devices were detonated remotely in a two day period, killing many of the targets. It was deemed illegal by international observers because "common everyday objects" should not be rigged since there may be unintended victims. Sure enough, innocent people were killed, including a young girl handing the device to her father.

Exploding lithium ion batteries are a thing of the past. And even then, the batteries mostly exploded while charging.

Because air stops blowing when it's hot? Brilliant
Er no, it's mostly because it's also humid. Fans work by evaporating your sweat, which takes away heat as it evaporates. When it's humid, your sweat doesn't evaporate efficiently. Fans work much better in dry environments like Arizona.

You do understand that the detonated devices have a thing in common? That joke is pointless as saying your microwave is spying on you.

it sucks because both models are worth about $5 when purchasing direct, but tariffs...

Works ok. I prefer a hand held fan flowing air into my face thought. This is just the neck area
