I thought this deal felt familiar, but a little higher price.

Fieldsupply.com and Wingsupply.com are related companies, specifically sibling companies owned by the same parent company, Brandshopper.

Serious question: how are these glasses - or any other premium ones for that matter - better than the $5 ones at the gas station? I don't care about brand name.

My brother prefers the Oakley Radar EV Path frames for golf. I have no personal experience with them, but he swears by them.

they're not. I bought a pair of $130 oakley's once when I was hanging with some status conscious dudes. felt like an idiot shortly after about wasting so much money. felt like a bigger idiot when I lost them a couple weeks later.

In for a pair.
I have a pair of Oakleys that I bought about 3 or 4 years ago that I still wear. They've developed some scratches on the lens after carelessly throwing them around.

While some people mention how they aren't different than the $5 gas station ones, I find that the prism polarized lenses are much better than the cheap sunglasses, with less distortion and a slightly better sharpness in clarity. I play tennis regularly with my pair (Flak Draft) and not only do they feel very light, but they are comfortable and do not move around like the cheaper glasses tend to do.

For what it's worth, I have in the past purchased some Ray Bans just based on the looks alone and felt very stupid spending hundreds of dollars on a fad. I had them for about a year before I lost them on a trip.

I agree that, at their regular price, they are over priced (as are most name brand sunglasses). But to say there isn't a clarity difference looking through gas station sunglasses and Oakleys is just untrue in my opinion. Assuming they aren't counterfeit of course.

I'd also throw in I've only used their polarized prism lenses (same as poster above), so I can't speak for the standard lenses I suppose.
