Sarcasm? Or are you just unaware of how much these normally cost? Though you're right if you only want it to function as a charging cable, it's unnecessary.

Good for data transfer and TB3 functions

Or just out the dang specs on the cable. I have so many cables but no idea what each is capable of.

Needs to be regulated as this just increases waste as people buy extra cables they might not need

Like I'm looking at this but I have a zillion cables, just not sure if they can handle the same as this deal

I wish they would start color coding the different speed / wattage USB-C cables for easier identification. Seems like a missed opportunity there.

Based on the Amazon photos, this one has markings of 40Gbps and 240W on the connector.
