I use these (Not this brand, but another) for eink readers (kindle scribe) and keep them mounted in a tablet arm. I have some physical issues that can make it hard to hold, and also hard for me to sit/lay in a position. These allow me to just hold the remote and advance the page, which is much easier.

Bonus points/more useful for the majority of people - in winter, you can stay bundled up in a blanket while reading.
A bluetooth page turner pedal is a much better option for musicians using ipads because they also include a back button. I have one made by Airturn that has guitar pedal type buttons and can also charge off 9v pedal type power, so it just lives on my pedal board.

Interesting. The only use I can think of is for sheet music for piano or whatever other instrument.

I use this on my android phone, I just set the kindle app to change page on tap and use a phone holder like Majagu. I love reading books and just having a blanket and a drink while not having to hold my arm in the air.

I never actually considered this use case! As a guitar player, it can be difficult to swipe pages while still keeping time on rhythm.. but potentially mounting the remote on my strap or guitar would be something!

I know it's "first world problems" but I have a friend who lives in the Midwest and loves this bc she can read and be under a blanket in the winter.
At this price I'm going to give it a try.
I read 3-4 books a month on my Kindle so I definitely think it's worth trying.

Lot of people criticizing these. I don't know about this particular brand, but I use a similar product with my kindle paperwhite mounted over my bed. It's useful when you want to read to fall asleep and not drop the kindle on your face when you nod off.

Classic example of product designers sleeping at the wheel or ignoring customer needs. Even a moron can understand a button at the edge can make experience so much better. They had it even in their own previous models. But desire for a little better margins trumps user experience.

I get the market is flooded with cheap Chinese junk, but can't they pay someone to write product descriptions and whatnot better? Or even just use ChatGPT? The third instruction is "Not need wifi, not need bluetooth."
