Looks like it will work-
(if your talking about the covers and not compressor itself)

About this item

Ideal for use on interior/exterior surfaces including wood, plastic, plaster, metal, masonry and unglazed ceramic
Oil-based formula is low odor, resist chips and provides long-lasting protection

Just remember the best paint jobs require the most prep. So wash and wash again and personally I would use 100-150 grit sandpaper to scuff the unit up.

Thank you!

Yup, the outside unit (big giant fan basically) is making a wobbling sound so either the Compressor motor is bad or the bearings or the fan; either way I'll remove the top grill which is rusted and I painted it 5 years back but now its flaking so need to prep and paint again and extend its life as much as I can.....

I also have to paint bulkhead doors that i've already done 5 years back but I might need something different and/or at least some sort of rust convertor due it being on the ground plus the landscapers edging that ruins the pain etc.

I'm not an A/C tech, but wobbling sound might be your fan. Remember to disconnect the power before working/painting your unit. While in there see if there's movement with the shaft for the fan. That may indicate worn bearings. Most of those fans have oil holes with plastic plugs in them. (pull plug, oil, then reinsert plastic plug) If there's slop, it's too late for oiling.
Good luck and be careful those stamped metal parts, they are sharp and brutal on the fingers
