Don't know if the sale ended from last week. But Amazon is now charging $896 for this TV. My guess is this is a closeout. I wonder if there will be a better deal for the 4th.

Buy it now anyway, they price match within 15 days even without a membership.

If you press the green button on your remote 8x rapidly, you activate the on screen FPS counter. Pretty cool if you want to see if 144hz is properly enabled

It's the fancy name they gave their processor.
TV manufacturers come up fancy names for their weak processors.
LG a9 AI Processor
Sony's Cognitive Intelligence Processor
Samsung Quantum Processor. (Quantum computing is decades away from being used in home products.)

I have a Mac mini M4 and connected to the LG C4 via the available HDMI port on the back it (that is, not using the thunderbolt port).

My use case is primarily for web surfing, YouTube and watching videos. So far so good.

If you want Mac mini M4 to run at 144 Hertz, just make sure to change the Game Optimizer setting on the LG first to run at 144 Hz, then it will become an available option on the Mac mini. Otherwise, the maximum refresh you will see is 120 Hz. You can also set it to run on variable refresh rate. ALSO, make sure you are using a high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable.

HDR can also be enabled.

Don't think it's true AI, just better integrations of Google home and Alexa.

For something like YoutubeTV where there are no channel numbers it's quite useful to tell google/alexa to turn on ESPN, AMC, ABC, etc. and not need to use (or find) the remote.

The AI powered chip will pre train itself with the common movies and TV series video feeds as soon as they are released, so that it knows exactly the right pixels to display under various conditions. This way when you play F1 on your TV, it would have already seen the movie before and knows to render each frame before it even receives it over the network. It is called P.R.E.D.I.C.T. : Pre-Rendered Enhanced Display via Intelligent Cinematic Training.
Here is a marketing blurb form the above :
With the groundbreaking P.R.E.D.I.C.T.™ chip, your TV doesn't just watch content — it remembers it before you even press play.

Leveraging state-of-the-art speculative rendering pipelines and pre-emptive scene memorization, the AI-powered processor downloads and internally "watches" every major release, frame-by-frame, pixel-by-pixel — weeks before you even know it exists.

So when you're finally streaming Fast & Furious 32: Electric Drift, the TV's already five laps ahead, rendering motion blur and smoke trails before Vin Diesel hits the throttle.
