All that to say, ymmv. Maybe spend more if you live in the middle of nowhere and truly need the reliability. If not, consider buying one and keeping it in your car. Getting a flat tire and finding out your spare has no air in it is an awful feeling.

Agreed, but a positive spin: I've bought a few cheapo tire inflators on SD over the years, and while they usually don't survive too long, they do survive long enough to have filled up tires enough times to make it worth it. In that same vein, I currently have a model by a different brand that looks identical to this one. Bought in 2021 and still going strong. Maybe it has different internals. Maybe it's just rebranded, not sure.

I own this and it is reliable, just takes a long time to inflate.
This will not work to pump a stand up paddle board.
It's worth not dealing with wires while filling up the tires. I'd rather have this for $2 more:

I don't own this one, but I keep my inflator in my garage and use it every few months.
I had a campbell hausfeld for like 20 plus years, loud af, think it was around $50, but would fill up a 6' tractor tire very quickly. It finally died.
Does anything like that still exist?
