Meh, I have one. It's probably $80 good. It's definitely not $499 good. Like any of the robot vacuum type things, they work best if you have it run daily on a schedule. They don't do that great for a single deep-cleaning, but if you let it run daily then it does an okay job. Not great, just okay.

Where is Slickdeals getting the inflated price of $499? Must be Goldman Sachs. Similar to how they evaluate stock prices to lure in retail investors 🤣🤣🤣

Depends on what you're comparing them to. Better than doing nothing, not as good as doing it yourself.

Might be unpopular opinion. But I would not but any Romba products period. Their app runs off Amazon servers so if they go out of business. All the smarts basically disappears.
Not talking about the quality. I have a couple of their products and it works well. But the ability to control the products and tell it what room and time to work. Is the biggest selling point that will soaker

If Amazon goes out of business??
I don't think that is a mid to short term worry.

To get any value out of this mop, this is what I've done:
1. Gave up on trying to get it clean most of my house where I have rugs. It needs a space 3 feet wide to be able to map/navigate, my rugs are less than 2 feet from the wall.
2. Even if I did have space, it sucks with thresholds. I have a threshold where my kitchen tile and dining/living room vinyl meets and it cannot pass it. My i8 has no problem going over the same threshold. For this and the previous reason I set it up to just clean my kitchen floor.
3. Change the mop pad after every cleaning, it doesn't dry when docked, mold grows and it won't clean as well next cleaning. This is pretty quick and I got a 6 pack of knockoff pads for cheap and so this doesn't take me much time.
4. Refill liquid after every couple of cleanings. Even just mopping my kitchen the cleaning fluid bin is small. It also takes a little more time to fill the bin than to swap mop pads.
5. Schedule it to clean a couple times a week so I only have the change the pad a couple times a week and refill the liquid once a week.
6. I have a i8+ so I have it vacuum kitchen and the mop runs right after, which is nice

It wont get off dirt that has set, the kind that requires you to apply some elbow grease while hand mopping. Overall, for my home it's been disappointing. That being said, if you have no carpet or rugs and no thresholds, but a large area of hardwood, manufactured wood or vinyl floors, at this price it might be a good option. Just be prepared to have to maintain it a couple times a week.

I have a vacuum on J6+ and want to know if you can create separate keep out zones for the vacuum vs the mop? Basically we have carpets and I'd rather the mop not run over them but have a large laminate area. Does the app let you differentiate? Or what happens when the mop runs over the carpets/rugs? Thanks in advance.

I had it when it was a mint. My wife wanted a new mopping on so got roborock. All the same and its just a gimmick. They dont really clean, just smear dirt and grime all over. I hate using them.

I have one, it's a mop so does not vacuum.
Will clean tile and wood floors slightly better than if you gave a quick damp mop with a hand mop.
Don't put too much soap in the solution or will leave streaks on shiny surfaces.
Tip, mix solution in a quart bottle and refill mop tank from bottle.

Downside as mentioned, poor at getting over thresholds.
Also rubbish at keeping the map, mine tries to take shortcuts through walls sometimes.
I think that is an iRobot issue more than the individual m6.
Their support says my unit is old, so what ? It's senility ? BS.
To bottom line it, I wouldn't buy another even at this price.

this thing does not have a vacuum. it has an internal water tank, it drags a pad around, sprays water ahead of it then drags pad over it. you can also use a dry pad (it won't spray water in this case). it does not clean pad at all, you have to manually remove pad at the end of the cleaning cycle. you can buy disposable or reusable pads, third party or oem. product was released MSRP $499 in 2019 when there wasn't much competition in the robot mop or vacuum/mop combo segment, but now you can find better combos starting at $200+ refurbished
okay thanks

I have it and like it. I have a iRobot vacuum only so this comes in handy after vacuum. It mops my wood floor smoothly and I can adjust the water spray level. The downside is you have to manually clean the pad or replace it with a washable pad and manually fill it the water tank.

Can you setup different keep out zones for the mop and robot? Don't want the mop spraying my carpets

This single purpose mopping only robots are e-waste unless you really don't want to get a vacuum and mopping combo robot. You have to run the vacuum first or you'll risk the mopping robot smearing all the sand and dirt across your floor, scratching it.

Ok but I mean different keep out zones and clean zones for the iRobot vacuum and the iRobot mop. So I want my vacuum to do everything, but I don't want my mop to do the rugs.

It was okay, but always had a docking issue after one year, or Even less. Got a L10 and never look back

The two share the same smart map but they do not share keep out zones, so yes you can create a keep out zone for the m6 only.

The m6 has almost no clearance on the bottom, that's how it's able to scrub with the mop pad. It can't traverse my rugs because of the lack of clearance, the rugs are maybe 1/4 of an inch thick. That's also why it can't get over my kitchen threshold. You probably won't even need to set a keep out zone for a rug, it will just bump into them. I would lower my expectations for having it mop around rugs though, I tried many different things, even rolling up the rugs at the ends, to create enough space for it to map and was never successful.

If the mop did somehow run over your carpet/rug, it would be dragging a damp dirty mop pad over the carpet/rug.
