I don't know how this is tactical; I have one.

It's a long hold for 'on' and 'off', short presses cycle through the modes. The swivel has a little play and no detents, and the edges at the joint are a little crisp for my liking. The CRI is pretty low, maybe 70. I sometimes wish it had a two-way clip.

But! The magnet is usefully very strong. Phantom power drain has been seemingly non-existent. It turns out it really is fun to swivel, and because it sticks to the side of my toolbox, I always end up using it. Actually, I use this light for calibrating the disc brakes on my e-bike, because I can set it to low power mode, angled towards my face, and easily sight the gap between the disc and pads.

The price is right. I paid $11 two and a half years ago.

Thanks! Going to give it a try because… why not? I like how it can take AA or rechargeable batteries
