The haters will scoff at these mugs, but they're honestly pretty great. The kind of thing that seems ridiculous until you have it. Then you wonder how you ever went without it.

A decently insulated mug can be had for under $30. Not everything needs a plugged-in or battery powered gadget... and I say that as a technophile with lots of gadgets.

Just pray you never have a problem with it under warranty. Their customer service sucks.

If you are going to take it out of the house or move around while drinking you probably should get a lid.

Why is the stainless better than the white?

This - my ember mug battery didn't last that long, so you pretty much had to keep it on the coaster if you wanted it to stay warm for more than 30-45 minutes. When the inside started flaking off in my coffee, I went with an insulated mug (with lid) and my coffee stays warmer for longer, albeit not as consistently hot. Ember did not make the lid when I had mine, so that may have helped as well, but I won't go back as it's too much money to spend for a product that lasts a year.

For me it's just easier to clean and maintain, my white mug gets stained easily. Others have reported issues with chipping on the white ceramic, but that's not an issue with the stainless steel - and to be honest I haven't had any issues with chipping, but I'm fairly careful not to scratch up the sides when I'm stirring my coffee or tea.

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting this anayway since it is the only one on sale with extra coupon plus I was able to use my Amex promo for another $14 off. Final price was around $60 before tax. Not bad I think 🤔

These are nice at the beginning. Used it quite a bit initially. Though, at a certain point the inside bottom will begin to chip/flake off. Once this started happening, just stopped using it. Something about particles flaking off and going into my body. That's a no for me.
