I have been waiting for this soldering iron to drop, and I think this is a really good price. Normal shelf price $119.

In for one.
I have shopped these and they rarely drop below $80, even on ebay.

It's a POS. DC takes forever to get an element hot.

Does this perform as good as a plug-in model? Absolutely not.
Is this a good option for light soldering away from an outlet? Absolutely.

This is very bulky by the way , you could get a usb c iron from fnirsi and a usb c powerbank if you need portability

$69 for THAT? Plus it's from woot. They shipped a M12 rachet without a outer box, so it came all beat up to hell. Never buying tools from woot again.

As others have mentioned, this soldering iron is a real turd. Its probably the worst tool Milwaukee ever made and not worth $20. Save your money.

I have this unit, works fine for my at home use. In a professional environment I would imagine it sucks.

I have this and it's great for automotive uses, especially in tight spaces.

I have been soldering for 30 years and I use this one at work almost everyday in Automotive repairing of wires, sure beats dragging and extension cord out. I also have 2 of them at home. Mine all heat up in 15-30 seconds and I have had no issues out of them. If you want to talk about the worst tool Milwaukee made is the cordless heat gun, its worthless other than heat shrinking on small wires. Im in for another one.

I bought a JBL charge off Woot, and every thing came as it should. But with Milwaukee, I'll stick with the authorized vendors for sure. Good place to find killer deals on Waukie tools is www,waysource.com. I called Milwaukee tool to verify if they were an authorized vendor. They didn't have anybody with that name as an authorized vendor; however, that company recently changed its name from safety source to Way source. Milwaukee tool recognizes safety source as an authorized vendor. FYI, both share the same business address. I also bought a $200 palm router for $127 from there. Shipping and product were as expected when it arrived.
