I loved 2016 and am still trying to finish Eternal. Eternal has a lot of platforming sections that are not enjoyable and I also didn't care for the addition of the flamethrower. I will finish Eternal eventually but it will never get another play through from me like 2016 will.

Modern cpu/gpu should be able to do 4k/med or high without dlss.
The giblets are worth the higher settings. Some of the scenes are really disgusting in a really good way.
That being said, I regret nothing about spending $80* at launch for Doom 64 back in the day.
*not factoring in inflation.
