One would think with the word "lifespan" that one may never need six sets. Unless of course you have six acoustic guitars. Six sets of strings and a hat for $72 doesn't feel like a good deal.

It's a free hat to people who want and buy coated strings so that they don't have to restring as often as with uncoated strings. To each their own. I'll burn through a set of uncoated strings in a couple of days jammin' or playing at a Bluegrass festival, whereas I might make it through the entire event with coated strings without them going dead. To each their own.

To those who buy the lifespans regularly, might as well get the free hat to boot.
