Been sniffing at these for a while. Both the 779 and the 780. I know it's basically a shadow line feature difference but I still prefer that being native versus the aftermarket shadow add on.
Not sure I'll pull on this if a stand isn't included. Also wish it was the adjustable height, rolling DeWalt stand…
But I'm also curious about this versus the Milwaukee M18 Fuel miter saw. Anyone actually use both and can give a breakdown? I own M18 tools so I'm walking that way, but I've used the 780 in the past and it's a beast.

Look around marketplace too if you're not in a rush. I just got the 780 and the compact stand for $400. Brand new.... happy hunting!

I wanted this DWS779 and the stand for a project that we're doing this coming weekend, so I purchased the one I linked above. "JULY4SAVE" got it down to $449.10 before tax with free shipping. Not as good as $399, but if you need it sooner, not a bad deal.
