Been sniffing at these for a while. Both the 779 and the 780. I know it's basically a shadow line feature difference but I still prefer that being native versus the aftermarket shadow add on.

But I'm also curious about this versus the Milwaukee M18 Fuel miter saw. Anyone actually use both and can give a breakdown? I own M18 tools so I'm walking that way, but I've used the 780 in the past and it's a beast.

I wanted this DWS779 and the stand for a project that we're doing this coming weekend, so I purchased the one I linked above. "JULY4SAVE" got it down to $449.10 before tax with free shipping. Not as good as $399, but if you need it sooner, not a bad deal.
