I used to have the same issue, but later ended up using straps more often than not -- for example, pullups with bare hands, then Pendlay rows with straps. It helps me finish my sets more completely without completely fatiguing my hands, etc. It also lets me work around elbow tendonitis a little more easily. Good to have in the bag, but not a crutch.

got one of their belts a while back, quality is better than i expected given the price. this deal looks like it works for multiples, was able to get 2 for $6.75

Pro has silicon add on. It might be helpful if your hands might get too sweating otherwise I'd stick to regular kind w/o silicon as it can dry rub too much against the palm of your hand. Otherwise these seem to be good quality and great buy at this price
