I wasn't saying it won't work, I'm just saying spend $30 or $40 and at least get a dual tower cooler. https://www.amazon.com/Thermalrig...97849?th=1

Or my personal favorite > https://www.amazon.com/ID-COOLING...GL7D1?th=1
Does this one you refer to can cool 5950xt (16 cores)?

Thermalright is making coolers that are close to Noctua performance. For $40 and under. Go look at their options.

I used them on Intel I7-14700K with 20 cores so it should be no problem.
I moved to an AC Freezer 3 a couple months ago and it's not a big difference really.

Usually stuff goes to WooT! because something's wrong with them. What's is bad? Confused
Woot also sells stuff that Amazon can't because the packaging is slightly damaged.

I assume the only people interested in this cooler are the people with extremely tight budgets and want ARGB. Otherwise there are coolers that are $30 that are WAY better.

Stock cooler that comes with some AMD CPU is terrible. Good deal.
The Wraith Prism coolers that come with 7000 and 9000 series Ryzen CPUs? They aren't that bad.

Yeah I noticed that this one is about 6" tall, definitely a no go on all but the widest cases. Thanks for sharing other options.
I don't think this is particularly tall for a tower cooler but yes that is one of the compromises with tower coolers. The fan size means a minimum height and you might have to worry about ram clearances depending how big the tower is and the location of your ram slots.

I've got this on my 5600x and it is working fine for that but that is pretty low power by modern standards. It does come with two sets of clips so you could go dual fan in a push/pull configuration if you wanted.

$15 is not bad, if it fits your case, but there are definitely other options around the same price point depending on exactly what you prefer.

There's zero benefit besides looks and noise unless your CPU is near throttling temp in your PC. If you want a quiet CPU cooler there's probably better options than this.

Most/all CPU are capable of running completely normal at 90+c. If you're not hitting 90c ever, there's really no performance benefit in upgrading your CPU cooler further.

I got a 22 minute long video from GamersNexus that shows just how well Thermalright performs against other coolers. I'd also be interested to hear what coolers are better for the price.

This IS the absolute BEST bang for the buck air cooler from a major brand with warranty.

The following is $29.59 and should perform similar to the above coolers.

Got this on the Newegg deal 40% off bundle about a month ago that came with this cooler, 9600X, B850M, 32GB DDR5 6000, and a 500GB NVMe for a little over 300 bucks. Paired with a 750W Gold PSU, 9070 XT 16GB and it's running pretty much every game I play maxed out (FSR 4 is really nice) on a 27" Samsung 4K 144Hz smart TV monitor. Runs a 9600X nice and cool. But like the 9800X3D it's pretty easy to cool down.
