Unlocks after 2 years, you can cancel after the 1st month but you'll see a bill for the remainder of the phone value. This is for T-Mobile postpaid, you're probably looking for prepaid deals.

I have a S21 FE but when I turn it on, it shows a big white line across the screen from top to bottom. Will that be eligible for trade in. It looks like most S21 FE had this problem of white line. Will T-Mobile accept it.

Correct. Since I did the upgrade through the Costco T-Mobile line, I'm eligible to receive a $100 Costco shop card after about 2 months.

We recently quit TMO. We got our final bill, which reflected a credit on the canceled account. They charged the full amount (with autopay), then pro-rated the amount due, and gave themselves an interest-free loan for the difference. They took their time about mailing (snail mail) the final bill, never sending a text, an email- just a letter. I called them, and surprisingly quickly talked to someone who said they'd refund back to the payment account. It's too soon to tell if that was actually initiated.

If you're switching to T-Mobile- you are not upgrading. We escaped them because of rip-off behavior and the fact that their experts are nearly always wrong. Not sure if most of their experts are poorly trained, poorly informed, or just scammers out to make commission.

T-Mobile did become Sprint. Too many billing errors false promises to sell phones etc. Beware.

Yes, phone must be paid off and at least 40 days of on-network use. Obviously with the bill credits, it'll take 2yrs to pay off and if you pay it off early, you lose the bill credits.
