How can mesh have a 50+ UV protection rating?
I'm guessing they're measuring the shade top? a little bit misleading if you ask me
alot of canopies or shelters without any sidewalls and only the top canopy have UV ratings... probably same train of thought...
shade coverage area is probably a little more misleading although that is the nature of slant leg canopies vs straight leg... if you didn't know, you may be a little surprised at how much shade coverage you actually get
I've had one of these for over 10 years and it is amazing, durable and has held up over countless camping trips. It gets thrown in the vehicle every trip whether I think I need it or not because 90% of the time I end up setting it up anyways for different reasons. Big enough to easily fit my double hammock like this one https://www.amazon.com/Yaheetech-...ZYB7H?th=1 or multiple lawn chairs etc.
It's a godsend in buggy areas but also has been great as a cooking are when we get rain or sun protection when it's really hot. The only slight downside is it is heavy (car camping only) - way too heavy to cart along on a hike-in. Setup is an easy 1-person thing and it seems to dry off really quickly once the sun hits it in the mornings so works well on pack-up and leave days.
Highly recommend.
