500w PSU to run all that is surprising.
It should be sufficient. 14400F is 65W TDP with a max boost of 148W. The 5060 TI is 180W, but I've seen 160 average during gaming. Assume motherboard, SSD and RAM are around 40-75W total. You likely end up with over 100W buffer even under peak load for transient power spikes, and it's a platinum PSU as well.

its a good deal but you may not want to plan to upgrade anything but the ram and storage without giving you a head ache. CPU and GPU would likely be upgradable but HP has a tendency to have proprietary motherboards and PSUs. so finding replacements will be hard. If you ever will want to upgrade the GPU to say a hypothetical RTX 7060 TI in years from now, you may not be able to and maybe limited to a RTX 7050 or what ever it would be at the time. but 500W may be good enough.
Personally got a prebuild like 6 or 7 years ago with a RX 580 and a 400w PSU.... was stuck either going to go for a GPU with lower power requirements like a RTX 3050 or build a new one... waited a while and just decided to build my 1st... so if you plan on gaming a lot and upgrading the GPU you may want to avoid, but its a great starter PC for a good price! so to each their own. Also my old PC can still game very well lol

Can this be upgraded to 64gb ram? The specs seem to say max 32gb, but that doesn't really make sense.
Yeah should be. think its just "configurable" up to 32gb, but again HP likes to use proprietary motherboards so it may actually be limited to 32Gb. You should be able to find the information though. look up the series and model numbers and maybe even replacement parts with the word "motherboard". the motherboard should let you know in a user manual or on HPs site. its hard to find but the info 100% exists. i tried to find it quick for you but don't have much time right now

I have seen links to Omens on a couple pages and I can't see anyway to customize one. I even clicked find in page Customize and none of the 9 words is a button that says customize and buy. I feel dumb here but do you need to be on a desktop or something. I requested desktop site and it's the same. Weird

$50 cash back on your HP purchase including taxes and after any discounts when you spend $299 on my Chase credit card. YMMV.

I have this one but with the intel ultra 7. And it performs well. But the case is tiny, the MB is proprietary and u cannot add any fans up top like the 35L. This case is great for a kids or a simple gamer.
I agree. I'd personally wait for a deal on the 35L.
I currently have a Dell XPS 8940 with I9-11900, RTX 4060TI 16GB and 128GB ram.
35L would allow much more upgrade options and also four banks of 128GB ram if desired.
16L has only 2 memory banks and a much smaller case.

Update:
I think this is better with Ultra 5 and 5060Ti for 1159+taxes:

rtx 3080 is still 10% more powerful than the 5060ti. Just fyi for those like me that still have the 3080.

Didn't see this mentioned, but it's actually cheaper today 7/8/25. Apparently, there is a Flash sale for the next few hours. I'm seeing the i7, rtx 5060, 16gb of RAM, 500w psu for $909.
And the cheapest configuration (i5, 3050, 8gb, 400w psu) only $506.

Must have missed the deal or configuration mistake. Noticed you didn't go with 5060 ti.
