I purchased these last time they were on a big sale. Here are some of my impressions:

I had a wired version from the same line before this and it had a light clamping force great for all day usage. These Arctis Pro headset have a heavy clamping for thanks to being wireless and needing to ensure that the weight of the battery doesn't fall off your head. I decided to leave them stretched out over the top of my desktop case to loosen them up and it worked great. I can wear them for an hour or two without hurting my head.

Second, the audio can pass through to the audio line out port, ONLY WHEN using the USB input for a PC. It will pass through the audio when the headset power is off and then redirect to the headset when you power them on. I really wish it redirected all audio sources to the line out when the headset is off, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Overall though, I am very happy about the headset. I thought at first with how tight they felt that I would still end up using the wired headset I had but it's been a few months now and I have not gone back to the wired headset again. Battery life is pretty solid and never had it run out during a meeting.

garbage company and warranty. the dial on my DAC broke at just over a year and their solution was for me to spend half the money I spent a year before to get a new one (which was just as likely to break as it is a common problem)

YMMV but I was browsing this deal earlier today and have the capitalone shopping broswer extention. Checked my email and had a 24% capitalone cashback offer link on SteelSeries gaming accessories.

I went ahead and picked it up for my son that needed a new headset and I have bestbuy "total" so I get 2 year warranty plus I had some GC's to blow.

I returned these 7 days after receiving them. My biggest gripe was the batteries and the software. The audio quality is fine, just like most other headphones but the batteries were awful. I got a max of 3 hours per battery after charging overnight. I'd almost always have to change batteries mid sesh. Also, the software is literal trash. I've never had to adjust my audio settings every time I booted up my pc except for when I was using these headsets. Even when playing games, I'd have to go into my audio settings to change it. More of a headache than anything. I ended up buying a steelseries instead and I've yet to charge the battery. It's been 3 months with no charge and still at 50%. No garbage software required either.

Been rocking these since covid. No complaints at all. Battery life is good, i change every other day after work and play use.

May pickup a second set for backup/bedroom tv watching. I dont think it gets better than this at this price.

I had this since covid. The hinges that swivel, broke a year ago. Its a poor design. Maybe they'll be fine if you're always gentle with it

I had a similar experience. Also lots of audio dropping issues and just poor overall quality. Would not recommend SteelSeries to anyone, no matter the deal.

I've had this headset since 2019 and I'm still very happy with it to this day. Sound quality is good. The ski goggle band is very comfortable sitting on top of my head pretty much indefinitely. The earpads will obviously get tiring after a while but overall I can wear these for at least 2-3 hours and be comfortable. The pads finally wore out about a year ago and I replaced them with some Wicked Cushions, no regrets there either.

No problems with audio cutting out, ever. The interface on the breakout box and its OLED display are good. A variety of inputs and outputs so I've been able to use it in a lot of different applications over the years with my TV, PC, recording equipment, etc. Swapping with the built-in battery charger is probably the best feature. The software DID suck in the past with retaining presets and freezing up, but I don't have any trouble with it now. My only complaint right now is not being able to change Sonar presets quickly through the system tray, only the standard settings.

You're talking about a different headset - this one does not require software. Also the battery life on the Arctis Pro should be 5-8hrs - enough for a solid gaming session. With new batteries I've gone on all-day as well. The new Arctis Nova's in my opinion are worse than these older Arctis Pros on sale.

These are really solid headsets. Good sound and mic. The swappable batteries are great. Another commenter mentioned sound dropping which is an issue I was having. It started happening after I installed a wireless router very close to where I use these. Figured out it was interfering with the wireless signal from the headset. Moved the router and zero issues since.
