With the recently announced chipset that will have these boards coming with WiFi 7 and 5gbit Ethernet, these old motherboards are being sold on clearance

edit: meant 5 Gbit not 10 sorry, but still faster than the usual 2.5. 10 Gbit Ethernet is only found on full sized boards

I think that's a bit of a stretch, and given the expenses involved (and, typically, heat involved too) in going to full 10Gbe I'm not holding my breath on these new motherboards. Is there a news article you can share with details? SFP+ or RJ45 interface?

These were the boards I saw announced which have better WiFi, better Ethernet, more m2, faster USB among other things.

In other news, over time motherboards have more features. Yes. But this Asus ITX board is $200, and those motherboards you speak of probably won't be $200 (in ITX format anyway) for a long, long time. So why bring it up? 5Gbe isn't 10Gbe, and WiFi7 is a snooze compared to Wifi6E (6ghz) support anyway, and for most, even Wifi6 is fast enough (I'm at full gigabit or close enough with just basic Wifi6), and I've no plans to spend the $800 or $1000 it would take to fully upgrade to 10Gbe. I can't even find a 5Gbe switch, in brief glance at Amazon. It's from 2.5Gbe to 10Gbe, nothing in the middle.

I know not everyone cares about the upgrades I am just reporting what is about to come out. If $100 is or isn't worth getting higher USB speeds and WiFi and Ethernet that's up to each individual.
