I hope they got better speakers/teachers. I tried to do some free Oracle training during the lockdowns, and the speaker's accent was so rough, plus talking fast/mixing words together, it was hard to understand what he was saying.

don't forget that before becoming a cloud provider, they were on an aggressive business acquisition spree, the latest of which was cerner. they have a huge portfolio of customers they funnel into their cloud.

If you are looking at this as a career, your hopes will be dashed faster than you can complete these courses. AI is already writing code/programming so you are essentially coding yourself out of a market. Now, if you have a higher degree like a Masters or Doc, you can move into leadership roles. but keep one thing in mind.. long and deep experience will put you at the head of the line. also, there is no latest and greatest technology that anyone will be ready for since AI will have created it before your morning alarm clock goes off. Hate to be a Debbie Downer...

The move is medical or LEO...I think it's a huge mistake to focus on AI as a career. Just my opinion.

Why do you think you guys get H1B visas? Because you are getting paid less while asked to work more. Do you really think a Mumbai degree gives you more knowhow than a Boston one? For every H1B visa receipient , you have 20 more potential H1B waiting to replace you.
If you feel you are treated unfair you can always go back
It's the same in research...I know labs fully staffed with chinese and indian students where the advisor works them to the bone . If they disent, they are cut funding and replaced with another indian or chinese student

Are there any customers using OCI? I prefer AWS or Azure or GCP as they have 90%+ percentage of the cloud customers.

Are there are any similar offerings from GCP/Azure/AWS?

Depends on your background. I switched from accountant, financial auditor to IT audit / advisory. I got 1/2 of A+, Sec+ and N+ then a CISA. Also depends on the job you are looking for. I would also look into one of those certs (google / AWS / MSFT) from coursera. Lots of people advised me to build a project portfolio on github to demonstrate my skills. You can probably use AI to expediate your learning.

They got into "cloud" very late. Fought to be a contender for the gov't cloud. They still have a chance there.

Because they were late they became a cheaper place to train your LLM (like $1m cheaper per run) so lots of people go there to train their models.

I think their Linux is better than Red Hat's, and their support docs are sometimes much better, but Red Hat has the lock in the U.S.
