One from July, 2019, says, "They are actually quite easy to open when you know the trick!. (Easy as 1-2-3, see photos posted) They have a small "scored" section that is accessible by slightly folding the top section down (at line shown) and then tearing from that mid-section score."
And one from May, 2019, is focused entirely on the method to open: "As with others here, I struggled at first getting the pouches open. Then I discovered there's a technique. There's a black line at the top of the pouch with an image of a pair of scissors, obviously indicating you can cut the pouch open along that line with scissors. Trying to tear along that line with your fingers just doesn't work. The I read the fine print (Seems like there's ALWAYS fine print these days!) There's a tiny slit in the middle of that black line. If you fold the pouch on the line, it's then easy to open the pouch with your fingers by using that slit. I'm attaching a picture."
