But this listing is for the "new refrigerant" mini split and the coupon codes only work for the models listed "new refrigerant". The listing also says R454B ... so one would naturally assume that the new refrigerant is R454B. R32 has been around a while but I think it's just making it to the states so it's interesting that R32 is the new refrigerant they were talking about. I was thinking maybe the OP of that photo got the wrong model sent to him. Perhaps these listings on this website are just awful. It says 115V and 220V in different spots and it says R454B but does not stay R32 anywhere. Like what the heck? Buy at your own risk I guess and see what you get. I actually prefer R32 but was trying to make sure before I ordered 2 of them. Anybody else get one and want to confirm?

I did not receive the wrong model. Everything is listed as R32 on the indoor and outdoor units.

Can I somehow just plug this to a power outlet inside and it works? Does anyone make a mini split version that you can plug straight to a power outlet?

I hate that a mini split is like $400 - $500 and try to DYI but at some point you will need an electrician and a HVAC tech for another $1000 - $2000 extra LOL

If you're referring to Platinumzelos photo, I only see that it says A2L, I don't see anything that it says R-32.

If so, A2L can mean R-32 or R-454B, can it not?

Has anyone else received any units to confirm if it indeed is R-32?
$360 for a mini-split is super tempting but would be good to know it doesn't use the R-454B blend.

Mines arrived yesterday with damage to outside box. The metal foot was clearly bent from the damaged box. I hear parts rattling inside the box. Little over day later, the Garvee support replies back. She wanted me to install the unit to test if the damage affects operation! I said that is not reasonable given the cost to install something that requires drilling holes in the wall, connecting refrigerant lines, and potentially uninstall to return or get refunded.
This is not a good start.
Let's see what Garvee replies back.

I am having the same issue but the damage is not that bad. Only the cover plate for the valves is damaged. The issue is some of the parts are missing. The phone people are nice but Garvee has not done anything. They were supposed to get back to me today. I am probably going to file a charge back for the missing parts and the damage. Mine was only shipped from about 40 miles away.

Dang sorry to hear that.
Those boxes look smaller than the one's I usually bought from Pioneer which are bulkier.
Did the inside unit arrive in a better shape?

If you really want to DIY, you need to learn a little bit about Hvac and Electrical. If you are handy, you can do it but you will probably need to buy some equipment. It's a lot cheaper than hiring someone. You should watch some youtube videos to see if you can do it.

Also the 115 V units often plug into an outlet, but the rest of the install is still tricky. Otherwise, just buy a window unit, that's a lot easier.

I tried calling to confirm the voltage and refrigerant and couldn't get anybody on the phone. They called back a day later and I missed the call. I tried calling back immediately and had to leave a message again. This company seems like a nightmare to deal with for any kind of problems since you can't even speak to someone at the time you call. I was gonna buy a couple units but I'm worried about them arriving damaged and no way to get help. Let us know what they say.
