Yeah, but the payment processor they're using requires your SSN and bank account. It's not a straight gift card.

I can confirm the credit is a discount code that doesn't stack with sale prices, if you try use the discount code on a sale then the price will revert to full price, the sale prices are usually better than $150. The discount code is worthless unless you absolutely cannot wait for a sale. Otherwise the $100 is better as you can still get the sale price and $100.

from what I've heard, the $150 is just a discount code and is not stackable so get the $100 and you will get a better upgrade deal

I registered for the $100 cash and setup the payoneer account on Jul 03 and it was approved for google to pay me. However, no payments received as of Jul 21 so I tried to resubmit my phone with google and it says approved but that they've encountered an issue and will get back to me in 3 weeks. Sadly, I saw the 8 pro deal recently and decided to buy it sans $150 google credit but was hoping the $100 would come through but now not so sure.

Leave it to Google to use a clunky system to get your money. I mean, couldn't they have used something a lot of people already have, like PayPal or Venmo or CashApp?? No ...instead they go with Payoneer, which almost no one even knows about. For being such a huge company, their customer service has always been either borderline non-existent or a PITA

Just realized that once your payoneer account is approved, you can resubmit the claim with same account. Payment gets approved immediately and google deposited $100 within minutes!
What do you mean you can resubmit the claim with the same account? I got approved by Payoneer and when I click the link again it says:

"It looks like you've already submitted your Payoneer application."

I was talking about resubmitting the claim request for $100 from Google, not the payoneer account. For me, when I tried submitting claim from google for first time, it felt they asked to first set up payoneer account and then come back.

I am leaning toward the battery replacement as my Pixel 6a has been generally solid except for two issues: 1) GPS sucks (but don't need it much since my car has GPS), 2) phone has overheated (but happened maybe 2-3 times in ~3 yrs). I would guess that I could use the phone for another 2 yrs until close to 400 charge cycles, then swap to a custom OS without the battery gimp and get another 2 yrs, for a total of 7 yrs of ownership for a $220 phone. The alternative would be to use this lemon for a month until Pixel 10 releases, and see if there are any good deals, but I suspect that even $150 credit + trade-in + 10% Google One discount +/- extra discount from subscribing to e-mails, that the phone will be pricey and the above plan (replace battery and use 6a for an extra 2-4 yrs) would be better.

My wife broke her screen a few weeks ago and got a new phone, so the $100 option was the easy choice (esp since we paid $95 for her phone ~2 yrs ago on a MetroPCS deal).

The question is if the battery replacement option is still defective stock. Most likely once the software detects there's 400 cycles even on the replacement, it will be nerfed again.
From what I've read, the problem is with batteries of a particular vintage/internal construction, which leads to failure with high recharge cycles-- not the # of recharge cycles per se. The replacement batteries don't use the same problematic internal construction. The replacement battery will, of course, wear as it goes through recharge cycles, but (hopefully) at the normal rate for a well-designed battery.

This is not true. You can use the $150 discount code with the $400 off a pixel 8 pro and free case and gen 2 watch right now. The only limitation is that you cannot add two discount codes (example: adding you ID.me 10% discount with the $150 discount).

Exactly. I am worried about opening an account and giving my real SSN and bank info. Too much for $100 bucks (even if I have two qualifying 6a).

Some people gave fake SSNs, but the bank account and name have to be real to receive deposit.

I'm leaning towards battery replacement for two Pixel 6a, as they're working flawlessly.

Did you provide a real SSN (and name as well) to get the $100 credit? I am concerned about the company (never heard of it) and too much info for $100 bucks (even $200 or $300 in my case).

So you can't use two $150 discount codes, from two 6a's, on one purchase?

You can only use one discount code per order. I would have jump on $150 credit if they allowed to stack....I got 2-3 6a

Is uBreakiFix the only authorized repair shop in the US? OR any list of repair shops to search.

I found the link to repair shop

If your Pixel 6a is under warranty, i.e., less than 1 year since you first powered on the device for use, you should get a $452 cash payment option. It was a surprise as I was looking for a $100 cash payment. I submitted mine on July 8, and got money in my bank account today.
