Do not buy this unit. Faulty design -- because of the cheap plastic and higher capacity (meaning more weight), a hairline crack will develop right from the spout, which will create drips in your refrigerator (or where ever you plan to store this). This is from personal experience; feel free to ignore it at your own peril. Do your research.

Do not buy this unit. Faulty design -- because of the cheap plastic and higher capacity (meaning more weight), a hairline crack will develop right from the spout, which will create drips in your refrigerator (or where ever you plan to store this). I have the same problem. I loved this unit when I got it because it holds a lot for how little fridge space it takes up and the water stays cold. The drip is just something I learned to live because I couldn't return it by the time it started happening. Avoid.

I have owned one for years, used it rough, still going strong, you will need to clean it from time to time as you would do with any other container. Maybe I did not get a faulty one.
