Considering a brand new omen max with 5070 ti can be bought for around 1150 from HP, this laptop should cost no more than 600 bucks.

Old processor, somewhat below average display, and has been $50 cheaper from Best Buy on several occasions. Price should be going down, not up, for old tech.

Maybe the bank/credit card company that used to use the slogan "What's in your wallet?". I had a 30% back offer from them at Best Buy, currently best offer I have is 12% from them. They do targeted offers based on what you view/sites you visit. I don't know how their logic works, but it seems like if you visit a site and don't buy anything, they'll start giving you increasingly good offers.
